Cabinet offers Namaz-i-Janaza

ISLAMABAD, Dec 29: The caretaker cabinet on Saturday offered Ghaibana Namaz-i-Janaza of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto at the Prime Minister’s House.

Among those offering the prayers were Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro, cabinet members and officials of the PM Secretariat.

On the occasion, the prime minister promised to utilise all resources to investigate Ms Bhutto’s assassination and bring the culprits to trial.

He said the government would continue its efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestation and called upon the people to remain calm and extend their support in the investigation.

Lauding the role of Ms

Bhutto in national politics, Mr Soomro said her contribution to the rights and betterment of people would long be remembered.

“The death of Benazir Bhutto is a great national loss which can never be compensated,” he added.—APP
