ABBOTTABAD, Dec 29: Police arrested a tehsil nazim for resorting to aerial firing during a rally held by the Pakistan People’s Party here on Saturday.

Abbottabad tehsil nazim Saifullah Khan Jadoon, son of former federal minister Amanullah Khan Jadoon, resorted to aerial firing during a PPP demonstration and kidnapped three PPP workers from Fawara chowk.

PPP divisional president and former provincial minister Shamrooz Khan Jadoon told Dawn that the nazim punctured the tyres of the car of PPP candidate for PF-46, Pervez Sarwar, and kidnapped Fareed, Raheel and a driver.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that Saifullah Jadoon had resorted to firing and escaped after creating panic. One of the kidnappers was also injured. He was taken away by the nazim.
