NEW YORK, April 2: A Pakistani gas station attendant, Syed Iftikhar Hussein Gilani, was shot dead by a masked gunman on Sunday night in Bronx area.

Police said that Gilani, 32, appeared to be a victim of attempted robbery. Gilani was working at a Gulf gas station and convenience store in the Soundview section of Bronx when the assailant came in at about 11:30pm and pointed a black handgun at him. Police said the gunman approached the counter, said “give me your money” and then fired a shot.
