ISLAMABAD, Dec 27: India would release 50 to 60 Pakistani fishermen in the next two weeks, Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Saty Abbata Pal informed Caretaker Minister for Human Rights Ansar Burney here on Thursday.

The envoy called on the minister and discussed with him the release of prisoners and fishermen by the two countries. The Indian high commissioner proposed that the fishermen who crossed the boundary of their native country in pursuit of fish should be escorted back to the country of their origin instead of being detained.
