HYDERABAD, Dec 26: The PML-Q candidates for NA-221 and PS-50 of Hyderabad district, Syed Shahabuddin Shah Hussaini and Mir Sher Mohammad Talpur, have submitted complaints to Election Commission of Pakistan in Islamabad and provincial office that the Awam Dost nazims were campaigning for the PPP candidates.

They alleged that Hyderabad Taluka Nazim (rural) Khawand Bux Jahejo, UC nazim Moosa Khatiyan, Syed Shafqat Hussain shah and others were canvassing for PPP candidates for NA-221 Amir Ali Shah Jamote, NA-222 Tando Mohammad Khan, Naveed Qamar and PS-50 candidate Pir Amjad Shah Jilani.

They further said that the office of UC Moosa Khatiyan was being used as a camp office of PPP candidates.

Talking to reporters, PML-Q candidate for PS-50 seat Mir Sher Mohammad Talpur said that the nazims of Awam Dost panel were using all their resources and influence for PPP candidates and violating the election rules.

However, taluka nazim Khawand Bux Jahejo and UC Moosa Khatiyan nazim, Syed Shafqat Hussain Shah refuted these allegations and said that they were keeping themselves away from the election campaign.

They said that the success of a candidate would depend on the popularity of his party and his own standing among the people.

They said that the candidates, who were complaining, had never won these seats and they were trying to find an excuse to run away from elections by levelling baseless allegations against them.—Correspondent
