SHIKARPUR, Dec 20: A constable, Abdul Hameed Mahar, of Rustam police station, was shot dead by a group of armed Jatoi clans men on Rustam-Chak link road on Thursday morning.

He was on his way in a wagon from Rustam to Chak town for official duty when armed men intercepted the wagon and after his identification, they shot him dead. The motive behind the murder is said to be the Mahar-Jatoi tribal dispute.—BoC
