Musharraf confers medals

ISLAMABAD, Dec 19: President Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday conferred Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chief of Army Staff at a special investiture ceremony held at Aiwan-i-Sadr.

The awards were conferred in recognition of their “long meritorious services”.

President Musharraf pinned the badges and decorated the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff General Tariq Majid and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.

The ceremony was attended by members of the federal cabinet, federal secretaries, and senior military officials.
