ABBOTTABAD, Dec 19: Members of the Christian community in Abbottabad on Wednesday expressed deep concern over the kidnapping of Dr Reginald Hamayun Zaheeruddin, Medical Superintendent of Penal Christian Hospital, Bannu, and his driver.

Mr Zaheeruddin was kidnapped, along with his driver about 10 days ago, when they were going to Dera Ismail Khan from Bannu.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the community members said that Dr Reginald had served in the NWFP for the past 25 years and treated patients of all religions and an overwhelming majority of his patients was Muslim.

They said the kidnapping of the doctor had harassed the Christian community all over the country.

The community members demanded of the provincial government to take immediate measures for safe and early release of Dr Reginald and his driver.
