Lawyers to set up camp at SC registry

LAHORE, Dec 18: The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) will set up a protest camp on the premises of the Supreme Court, Lahore Registry, on Wednesday (today) when a bench of the apex court is set to resume work.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court will start functioning on Wednesday at the Lahore Registry Branch. The bench will comprise Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, Justice Mian Hamid Farooq and Justice Akhtar Shabbir.

SCBA Media Coordinator Muhammad Azhar Siddiq said the lawyers would not appear before the SC bench in protest against the removal of judges under the Provisional Constitution Order.
