MINGORA, Dec 16: Security forces arrested seven suspected militants in Kuza Banda, a village near Maulana Fazalullah’s native area of Imam Dehri, on Saturday night.

The ISPR said that Abdul Shakoor, a cleric suspected of having issued decrees in support of beheading soldiers, and his four sons were among the seven taken into custody.

Mohammad, one of the sons of the cleric, was allegedly preparing for a suicide bombing mission and a jacket used for such attacks is reported to have been found in their possession.

The Frontier Corps arrested four people on Sunday at the Fizzagut checkpoint on suspicion that they were associated with Fazlullah.

Meanwhile, a tense calm prevailed in areas secured by the troops and the curfew was relaxed from 7am till 6pm on Sunday.

People displaced from Choprial, Peuchaar and Shore are still living with their relatives in Mingora.

In Mardan and Dir and some other areas secured by the forces, people were returning to their homes.
