HYDERABAD, Dec 14: Provincial Police Officer (PPO) Syed Ziaul Hassan presided over a meeting of police officers at Regional Police Office here on Friday regarding security plan for Jan 8 elections.

The PPO was informed that 816 polling stations had been declared highly sensitive while 1872 sensitive in the region.

He was briefed about the security plan by RPO Fayyaz Leghari.

The meeting was also attended by Hyderabad DIG Operations Shaukat Ali Shah and Mirpurkhas DIG Mazhar Ali Khan.

RPO said that out of 5,863 polling stations of the region, 816 had been declared highly sensitive, 1872 sensitive and 3175 normal polling stations. These polling stations will have 16,661 polling booths.

The meeting was told that the e-policing was being introduced in Sindh under which all police offices would be connected through networking.—Bureau
