Pakistan climb in badminton rankings

Published December 14, 2007

LAHORE, Dec 13: According to the new ranking issued by the World Badminton Federation, the Pakistani pair of Rizwan Azam and Mohammad Attique has earned the best-ever doubles ranking (88) for Pakistan.

They achieved this by playing in four world ranking tournaments where they won the doubles title in the Syrian Satellite held in Damascus in the end of October and reached the quarter-finals of the Jordon Satellite in early November. But they were unlucky to have lost the final to another Pakistani pair in the Pakistan Challenge International that was held in Islamabad.
