Published December 10, 2007

HYDERABAD, Dec 9: Repair and renovation of the Niaz Stadium began here on Sunday to host a One-day International between Pakistan and Zimbabwe on Jan 26.

The works to be carried out are laying of drainage line, making seating arrangements in various enclosures, finishing of fences, toilets, scoreboard’s renovation etc.

Some changes are also being made in the existing pavilion. The third floor of the building will be designated to media.

The visiting team whose Test status was suspended in 2005 have raised no objections over playing in the city where there is no five-star hotel.
