NAWABSHAH, Dec 8: A returning officer has asked the police to investigate a complaint against a minister of the Sindh government that he is misusing his office to canvass for his son, a candidate for a provincial assembly seat from Nawabshah.

He directed the DPO through an office order#1714 of 2007 dated 6-12-07 to submit a report on the complaint against Ghulam Rasool Unnar, caretaker minister of campaigning for his son Abdul Hafeez Unnar on PS-27 Nawabshah IV.

A complaint had been made by ex-MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio and acting President PPP district Nawabshah. He too, is a candidate on PS-27.

When contacted, the DPO Nawabshah Syed Ghayasuddin Rashidi said he had submitted the report to honourable judge stating that no proof could be found against the minister of using his influence and government machinery to run election campaign of his son.
