LAHORE, Dec 5: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq breezed past Austria’s Martin Slanar in the opening round of the second $50,000 ATP challenger, being played in New Delhi.

Fresh from last week’s win in the same city, Aisam hit 11 aces in the match to notch up a win, the score being 6-3, 6-4.

The first set saw Aisam break Slanar’s serve in the very first game after which he maintained his domination throughout the set in order to secure it.

In the second set, which was an almost replay of the first one, Aisam broke Slanar in his second service game and continued to grab points to eventually win it along with the match. Aisam takes on Dieter Kindlmann of Germany in the next round.
