LAHORE, Dec 2: Three-goal Amber helped Sukkur crush Quetta ‘C’ 7-0 in the national women’s hockey championship on Sunday.

Sukkur, who dominated proceedings from the word go, gained a slim 1-0 lead in the first half as they missed several sitters.

But the second half saw them grab more chances to add six more goals to their score while putting relentless pressure on Quetta ‘C’. Mehwish and Rozina contributed two goals each in order to become the other scorers in the second half.

Lahore and Sargodha found themselves locked in a goalless draw and Dera Ghazi Khan and Peshawer too failed to move the scoreboard.

Hyderabad, however, earned a creditable 6-0 win against Islamabad after leading at half time 2-0. Rizwana and Farheen pumped in three goals each.

Rawalpindi carved out a 2-1 win against Karachi. For the winners, Kanwal blasted home twice while Hiba reduced the margin for the losing side.
