GBSS Metroville triumph

KARACHI, Nov 26: Government Boys Secondary School (GBSS) Metroville thrashed The City School (Darakhshan) by eight wickets to clinch the PCB National Inter-school Cricket Championship (Karachi Region) at the National Stadium on Sunday.

All-rounder Qasim Hussain played the key role in his team’s triumph, grabbing three wickets and then slamming a fine 39.

Electing to bat first, The City School reached 109 before being dismissed in 37.5 overs. Ammar Baig top-scored with 27. Qasim claimed three wickets for 21.

GBSS Metroville, in reply, reached the target for the loss of two wickets in 30.4 overs.
