Rocket hits minister’s home

QUETTA, Nov 24: The home of a caretaker minister, Sardar Sadat Ali Hazara, was hit by a rocket fired from the Sariab area on Saturday night.

Sources said the rocket exploded at the boundary wall of the minister’s house. Some portion of the house and windowpanes were damaged in the blast. However, no casualty was reported.

COP KILLED: A police constable was killed and two others were injured when armed men attacked a police mobile in the Hazargangi area on Saturday night.

The mobile of the Shalkot police station was patrolling Hazargangi when it came under indiscriminate fire. The constable identified as Mohammad Nazir was killed on the spot while Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ilyas and constable Mohammad Daud were injured.

The injured were taken to the Civil Hospital Quetta.
