SHIKARPUR, Nov 24: The PPP leader and cousin of caretaker Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro, Junaid Ahmed Soomro, has decided to contest the general elections as an independent candidate from NA-202 and PS-11.

He said this while talking to reporters at his residence here on Saturday. He would file his nomination papers on Monday, he said.

Mr Junaid said that he had worked sincerely and had full faith in the leadership of Benazir Bhutto so he had worked hard to get PPP candidate Agha Tariq Khan elected in 2002 general elections, and his son Agha Taimoor Khan in the by-elections despite the fact that he was not given party ticket to contest the polls.
