Six matches decided in U-17 hockey

LAHORE, Nov 21: Another six matches were decided in the Punjab Inter-district U-17 hockey championship on Wednesday.

Eight-goal Abdul Razzaq helped Okara defeat Attock 22-0 after leading at half time by 10-0. Shakeel (5), Usman (3), Wajid (2) Javed Ali (3) were the main scorers.

In a low scoring match between Khushab and Hafizabad, Khushab beat Hafizabad 2-1 with Salauddin and Adeel Shakri scoring one goal each. The solitary goal for the losing side was struck by Ijaz Ahmed.

Meanwhile Chakwal earned a 2-0 win against Gujranwala. Both goals were struck by Shakeel Ahmed. In their 13-0 big win against Bhakkar, Toba Tek Singh’s Dawood Khalid emerged as the top scorer with five goals.

In the match between Sargodha and Nankana Sahib, three goals by Kamran Asif helped Sargodha beat Nankana Sahib by 5-0. Sialkot outplayed Sahiwal by 3-1.
