KHAR, Nov 19: A tehsildar and eight Levies personnel were kidnapped in Bajaur Agency on Monday. Officials said political tehsildar Sheryar Khan, a Levies subedar and three other personnel of the force were kidnapped by masked men who had entered a residential area in Nawagai in eight pick-ups.

Four Levies men were kidnapped from Derbanu area.

Political Agent Shafeerullah Khan said that forces had been deployed in the area to find the kidnapped personnel.

Meanwhile, bombs exploded at two Levies checkpoints in Khar and Brang areas.

Our Ghalanai Correspondent adds: Militants in Mohmand Agency have claimed the responsibility for kidnapping the government employees from Bajaur Agency.
