Football team returns

LAHORE, Nov 19: Pakistan junior football team after performing dismally in the Asian U-19 qualifying in Iran reached Lahore on Monday.

Pakistan in the six-team pool ‘B’ finished at bottom with four losses, one draw from the five matches it played. It conceded 23 goals while scoring none.

Defending champions North Korea have qualified for the next year’s final round along with China, Korea Republic, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Uzbekistan, Yemen, Tajikistan, Syria, Iran and Lebanon.

Two more qualifiers from Group-A will be decided on Nov 28.—Sports Reporter
