MIRPURKHAS, Nov 17: Members of Mirpurkhas District Bar Association boycotted courts on Saturday in protest against the imposition of emergency.

They wore black armbands and held a protest meeting in the bar room, which condemned imposition of emergency and arrest of lawyers and media persons and ban on media.

Lawyers in Umerkot also boycotted courts and wore black armbands.

ARRESTS: Police on Saturday arrested three workers of Awami Tehrik when they staged a demonstration on the M.A. Jinnah Road and raised slogans against emergency. They were later freed.
