BADIN, Nov 17: The district anti-corruption committee has decided to register cases against seven officials of revenue, education and police on charges of corruption.

The committee’s meeting chaired by its head DCO Ahmed Bux Khokhar decided to conduct departmental inquiries against SHO Qasim Panhwar, ASI Khuda Bux Panhwar on charges of demanding Rs9,500 as bribe and recommended challan of ASI Mohammad Hashim Soomro in the court of special judge of anti-corruption Hyderabad. He was allegedly caught red-handed accepting Rs20,000 as bribe, the meeting said.

The meeting decided to challan tapedars Lal Mohammad Chandio and Ashiq Ali Khoso who faced charges of being involved in change of state land fraudulently and preparation of NICs, and tapedar Rasool Bux Bhurgari on charges of accepting bribe.

The meeting would get assistant mukhtiarkar Zulfiqar Ali Memon and tapedar Imtiaz Ali Mughal challaned in the anti-corruption court of Hyderabad for their alleged involvement in change of land khatas fraudulently.

Similarly, tapedars Sain Bux Leghari, Usman Rustamani, Mairaj Bhatti and a number of other officials involved in interfering in the duties of their officials would be challaned, the meeting said.
