PESHAWAR, Nov 16: Lawyers on Friday named the main entrance of the Peshawar High Court as Justice Tariq Pervez entrance to honour him for not taking the oath under the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO).

The lawyers also announced awarding life membership of the Peshawar High Court Bar Association to the president of the American Bar Association, William Neukom, for arranging a rally in Washington against the imposition of the emergency and for the restoration of the judges of the superior courts.

A meeting of the PHCBA and Peshawar District Bar Association paid tribute to Justice Tariq Pervez Khan and other judges of the high court who did not take a fresh oath.
