PESHAWAR, Nov 14: NWFP Governor Ali Mohammad Jan Aurakzai has asked the authorities concerned to expedite the action plan on a burns unit to be set up in the Hayatabad Medical Complex at a cost of Rs847m.

Presiding over a meeting at the Governor’s House on Wednesday, he said that people were facing difficulties because of lack of burns treatment facilities in the hospital, says a press release.

“An urgent action is needed to provide treatment facilities to the victims of burn cases,” he said, adding that it was an important project and all the quarters concerned should complete the task.

The burn unit on completion will provide treatment facilities to labourers of industrial units and mine workers, besides the general public.
