Volleyball squad named for Dubai event

ISLAMABAD, Nov 12: A 12-member Pakistan squad was named on Monday to compete in the four-nation 10th Al-Rashid International volleyball tournament, commencing in Dubai from Thursday.

The squad will be leaving for Dubai on Wednesday. They will play their first match on Thursday against Iran, face UAE in the next match on Friday and lock horns with Oman on Sunday.

Squad:

Mohammad Zaman (captain), Mohammad Imran, Syed Ishfaq Hussain, Mohib Rasool, M. Zafar Iqbal, Shah Faisal, Naseer Ahmed, Bakhat Rasal, Sanaullah Khan, Ismail Khan, Farooq Khan, Ali Abbas.

Officials: Ahmed Nawaz (chef-de-mission), M. B. Javed (manager), Mohammad Ashraf (coach), Abdul Rahim (assistant coach).—APP
