KOHAT, Nov 11: The Anti-Narcotics Force in Kohat foiled an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of hashish from the tribal area and arrested the driver of the truck carrying the consignment to Punjab on Sunday.

The incharge of the ANF for Kohat, Riaz Ahmed, said that they stopped a truck on a tip-off near old toll plaza on the Indus Highway and, upon its checking, found 214kg of high quality hashish placed in secret cavities of the truck.

The consignment was loaded in Peshawar and was destined for Multan, he said.

He said the ANF staff arrested driver Raheem Gul.
