HYDERABAD, Nov 8: Residents of some localities in Latifabad were deprived of water on Thursday after a water supply drain was damaged during work on laying a sewerage line.

The residents complained to authorities concerned but to no avail. The work on the sewerage line has also damaged telephone cables and disconnected several telephone lines.

The worst sufferers were residents of flats where normally water tanks did not have sufficient storage capacity. People find it very hard to bring water from some other area to their homes for bathing and even for ablution.
