ATTOCK, Nov 7: Former president of Supreme Court Bar Association Munir A Malik was shifted to Attock District Jail from Adiala Jail Rawalpindi on Wednesday, jail sources told Dawn.

Mr Malik, who led the lawyers movement against removal of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry by the president few months ago, was arrested from Islamabad along with other fellow lawyers soon after the imposition of emergency to pre-empt the their reaction to the government move.

Sources said that Mr Malik would be kept in Attock Jail for three months under 3-MPO. No one is allowed to meet him, sources added.

Despite repeated attempts the jail superintendent Syed Babar Ali could not be contacted for comments.
