KHAIRPUR, Nov 6: The councillors of Awam Dost Panel (ADP) tore copies of the agenda of the development schemes and staged a walkout from the district council meeting here on Tuesday.

Zila Naib Nazim Mir Dinal Khan Talpur was presiding over the meeting.

They were discussing the agenda about the development schemes 2007-08 for union councils.

The ADP nazims protested against it and staged the walkout from the session after tearing the development schemes papers in the district council hall. After their walkout the house approved the development schemes.

ADP nazims said that the emergency situation existed in the district council Khairpur since start of the present government as the ADP nazims were never listened in the house which forced them to protest. ADP nazims and councillors, including opposition leader Abdul Qayoom Shaikh, Dr Mohammad Tumrani, Khalid Jiskani, Masood Nabi Dogar, Nasiruddin Farooqui, Faqir Sher Ali, Ghazala Siyal, Zeenat Shaikh and others stood up from their seats and recorded their protest.

They said that none of the development schemes submitted by ADP nazims had been included in the agenda. They said that they rejected the development schemes and staged walkout.

Dr Sadaruddin of health department told the house that anti-measles vaccine will be administered to some 750,000 children from Nov 12 to 28.
