SHEIKHUPURA, March 24: The annual election of the local press club was held here on Sunday.
The polling started at 11am and continued till 4pm.
Ahl-i-Qalam and Shaheen groups contested the election. The former group won the polls with the margin of two votes.
Abdul Hamid Bhatti (Khabrain) was elected president, Tahir Masood Sajid (Insaf) secretary-general, Sarwar Rana (Dawn) senior vice-president and Arif Kamboh (Musawat) vice-president.
