KARACHI, Nov 3: Three-year-old bay filly Taiz Per is in line to stretch her winning run when the Gymkhana race meeting resumes at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

With three wins on trot under her belt, she starts as our days best in the six furlongs eighth race of the programme with eight contenders vying for honours.

Though five-year-old bay mare Closing Argument also enjoy impressive track record and comes in reckoning we will put our weight behind Taiz Per. The two should be chased by Sir Jee for the third slot.

The seventh race which is the feature event should end in a blaze of glory for Taiz Per’s stable-mate Phapha Kutni who will be in action after over two month layoff.

Four-year-old bay colts Truf Shot and Captain Black should battle it out for the places.

Rolex, a four-year-old bay filly, looks certain to pick up spoils in the supporting event, the ninth and concluding race of the day.

She returned with flying colours in the last two outings and on course for a hat trick. Her first win was under rider Fahim K and the second was under Ghulam Shabbir II.

She should be followed by filly Sugar Sweet and colt Moon Raker.

Colt Dark Secret who has got three runs should dominate the opener restricted for two-year-old colts and fillies.

Mare Eye Lady and colt Muktadar should make amends by picking up the next two races.

If tried, mare Fruity, colts Vice Admiral and Mr. Mention Not are fancied to cross the finishing line ahead of opponents.

The first race gets into action at 12 noon.
