PESHAWAR, Nov 3: The death of an eight-year-old girl is shrouded in mystery with close relatives suspecting the father of being involved in the incident.

Two days back, the body of Faiza was exhumed on the complaint of Ms Bano, the grandmother of the girl. The body reportedly bore marks of torture. The autopsy report would be submitted to a local court on Monday.

Police said they would register an FIR only after the post-mortem report was submitted.

The girl’s father, Dr Arshid, claimed that his daughter died when she fell in school and suffered serious injuries.

The complainant claimed that the school administration had expressed ignorance about any such incident.

The complainant said that a month back, her son Dr Arshid visited her and exchanged hot words with her over a domestic issue. He then allegedly took Faiza away. She suspected that the minor girl was tortured to death by her father and step-mother.
