SANGHAR: Woman recovered

SANGHAR, Nov 2: Police arrested a man for kidnapping a married woman from the Housing Society. The accused was reported to be an embassy employee in Islamabad.

Accused Shahzad Khokhar was arrested by Sanghar Police on October 28 from Nowshehra, NWFP. According to information, he was working in the Security Department of an embassy. The woman Manisha was also recovered and produced by police in the court of judicial magistrate on Friday.

She deposed that the accused along with his armed men forcibly took her to an unknown place in their car and snatched gold ornaments and Rs23,000 cash.

Shahzad Khokhar told the court that he did not kidnap her as she had entered into court marriage with him.—BoC
