FAISALABAD, Nov 1: A woman and her daughter were gunned down by a relative for ‘honour’ in Tandlianwala on Thursday.

Sajid Hussain of Chak 400-GB suspected that his cousin Sajida had an affair with Javed Ahmed of the same village. On Thursday, he exchanged hot words with Sajida and her mother Naziran and later opened fire at them. Both mother and daughter died at the scene. Hussain fled, however, police have registered a case against him.

SHOT DEAD: Two people gunned down a boy over a ‘minor’ issue at a marriage ceremony on Canal Road. Mohammad Afzal had a row with Ahmed Iqbal and Allah Ditta who shot him dead and fled.

GIRL ELECTROCUTED: A minor girl was electrocuted when an electricity wire fell on her in Farid Town. Mariam, 5, was playing in the street when a wire connecting a factory to the transformer fell on her.

She died on her way to hospital.

BODY FOUND: Police found the body of a 40-year-old woman from a canal in the Samundri area. She had been hanged.
