PML-N rules out deal with government

GUJRANWALA, Nov 1: PML-N information secretary Ahsan Iqbal has ruled out the possibility of any Nawaz-govt deal.

Addressing a party meeting here on Thursday, he said the PML-N would continue its struggle against dictatorship.

He said the PML-N was ready to activate ARD provided the PPP ended its co-operation with Musharraf. Iqbal hoped that Nawaz would return in the light of the Supreme Court verdict before the end of the current month.

GRID: Cantonment’s new 132kv grid station set up by the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) started functioning on Thursday.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, company chief executive Rana Muhammad Ashraf Zahid said that grid station had been completed at a cost of Rs 189 million which would provide uninterrupted power supply to its command areas through half a dozen feeders.
