114 assets in the name of the company and efforts were on to transfer the remaining 22 assets.

Officials said that work on system improvement and installation of new heavy power transformers at various grid stations was in progress to overcome the problems of overloading and frequent power break-downs.

The board sanctioned a Rs7.5 billion operation and maintenance budget for 2007-8.

Pesco Chief Executive

Brig Sakhi Marjan claimed the company had increased recovery of dues by 3.5 per cent and reduced line losses significantly.

The board directed the officials concerned to make efforts to further reduce line losses and increase recovery to meet the targets and minimise load management.
