GUJRANWALA, March 23: An ear and thumbs of a youth were chopped off by drug pushers for stopping them from selling narcotics in the Civil Lines area on Saturday.

Zulfiqar Ali told police that he was standing outside his house in the Noorpura locality when accused Ashraf, Akhtar and a woman, Seema, kidnapped him. They took him to Bheekupura Fatumand by a motorcycle rickshaw. They confined him a room and chopped of both his thumbs and an ear. They escaped after throwing him on a road.

PILLION RIDING: Sixteen people were arrested on the charge of violating the ban on pillion riding on Saturday.
