2 killed as jeep falls into ravine

MURREE, Oct 25: Two persons were killed, including a young girl, and four others injured when a jeep fell into deep ravine near Chrra Pani on Thursday.

The jeep (Peshawar 8272) was coming from Sonjan Banwarri village of Hazara to Murree. While crossing a narrow curve the driver lost control over the vehicle and it fell into a deep ravine.

Laiba, 8, and an old women Zarina Bibi died on the spot. The injured Raja Iftikhar of Charra Pani, Zobaida Bibi wife of Banaras of 22 Miles Murree and her sister were shifted to the hospitals in Islamabad where the condition of three injured is stated to be critical.

Body found: Body of an old man was found near Technical College, Jika Gali.

Police said villagers coming to bazaar saw the body lying in bushes. Body was shifted to THQ Murree for postmortem. Hospital sources said that signs of rope were found on the neck of the body.

STOLEN CABLE SEIZED: Barrian police post in charge SI Haji Mehboob caught a man along with telephone cable loaded car. After inquiry it was revealed that the cable was stolen from Rati Gali last night. The cable recovered from the thief is of about Rs0.2 million.

Police arrested Ayaz but his three accomplices escaped. Police registered a case against the accused persons.
