MIRAMSHAH, Oct 24: Two soldiers were killed and two others suffered serious injuries when a roadside bomb hit an army convoy near Miramshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan Agency, on Wednesday.

Sources said the convoy was heading from Datakhel to Miramshah when the bomb struck a vehicle, killing two soldiers on the spot and wounding two others.

Troops cordoned off the area and blocked the Datakhel-Miramshah Road for several hours, they said. The wounded were shifted to a military hospital.

Meanwhile, security forces defused five bombs planted along the road in Qutabkhel area on Wednesday.
