TIMERGARA, Oct 23: The Lower Dir chapter of the Awami National Party (ANP) has invited applications for party tickets for the one National and four provincial assembly seats up for grabs in the general elections, likely to be held in January.

The decision to invite applications was announced during a meeting of the party’s district working committee, held here on Tuesday with the party’s district president, Samar Bagh Haji Bahadar Khan, in the chair.

It was decided at the meeting that the party members desirous of applying for a National Assembly seat would be submitting Rs10,000 and those contesting the provincial assembly elections Rs5000 along with their applications.

Those wishing to contest for seats reserved for women would be required to submit Rs25,000 with their applications.
