HYDERABAD, Oct 23: The second death anniversary of renowned artist, playwright, political activist and writer, Jiji Zarina Baloch will be observed on Thursday.

Jiji Zarina Baloch had died in Liaquat National Hospital on Oct 25, 2005, due to brain cancer. Sindhi Adabi Sangat, various branches of Sindhiani Tehrik and Awami Tehrik and other organisations have arranged the Quran Khwani at different places in Hyderabad.

An anniversary programme scheduled to be held in Karachi on Thursday has been cancelled in the wake of bomb blasts.

BOOK FAIR: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro organized a three-day book fair at the main lawn of the university, which was inaugurated by the university vice chancellor.
