Larkana cautiously awaits Benazir

LARKANA, Oct 22: The people of Larkana are anxiously waiting to receive Ms Benazir Bhutto but no preparations were being made due to absence of any schedule of her arrival.

The PPP leaders are in constant touch with the Bilawal House to get her programme confirmed but they get a reply that it is not yet decided. She normally comes out of Bilawal House, sits in her jeep and later tells the leaders where she was heading for, the sources said here. Therefore, the party leaders and workers were unaware of her arrival, these sources said.

The district body of PPP Larkana, and even those entrusted with the security arrangements job, were still not informed about the arrival of Ms Benazir Bhutto in Larkana or Naudero.

On being contacted MNA Anwar Bhutto said that “we have not yet been informed about the programme”. Another source told this scribe on Monday that special passes would be issued for the servants of the house, the visitors and those who would call on her during her stay here. So far decision for allowing the media personnel in her Naudero house was still to be made, they added.

PROCESSION: A big procession was taken out in Shahdadkot on Monday mourning the Karachi carnage.
