ABBOTTABAD, Oct 22: Waseem Khan Jadoon, the president of the People’s Youth Welfare Organisation (PYWO), has demanded of PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto to establish a fund for the welfare of the heirs of those workers who lost their lives or were injured during the recent attack on the PPP rally in Karachi.

In a press statement issued here on Monday, Mr Jadoon said that with the establishment of the fund, families of the deceased and injured workers would be helped and it would be a source of encouragement for other workers.

The PYWO leader criticised the proposed ban on holding political rallies and public meetings and termed it a failure of the government as it was unable to protect the lives and property of the people.

He demanded an impartial judicial inquiry into the incident.
