FC man hurt in D.I. Khan blast

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 19: Three people, including a Frontier Constabulary man, were wounded when a remote-controlled explosive device went off near the office of the Intelligence Bureau here on Friday.

The device was planted on a bicycle near the IB office in the vicinity of the district court building. An official car was destroyed in the explosion.

The explosion took place at about 9.15am, injuring FC’s Nazirullah and two passers-by, Salar Hussain and Asghar Ali. They were taken to hospital.

Police and law-enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and collected evidence. They took the bicycle into custody. The Cantonment police station is a few yards away from the site.

DIG Habibur Rehman, SP investigation Anwar Saeed Kundi and DSP city Idrees Khan also reached the spot. After the explosion, security around important buildings in Dera Ismail Khan has been beefed up.
