SUKKUR, Oct: 18: The additional secretary of the Pakistan Muslim League Ishaque Dar said that the return of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto would improve the overall political atmosphere in the country.

Speaking in a press conference at Sukkur press club here on Thursday he said it was the responsibility of the PML workers to take party’s message of good governance, transparency and improvement in the living standard of the people to the masses.

Mr Dar said that the government of PML sincerely desires to create a harmonious atmosphere and urged all the stakeholders to sit together and jointly devise rules to ensure free, fair and transparent elections in the country.

“We want an environment in which the losing party accepts the defeat wholeheartedly without blaming anyone and wait patiently for its turn,” he said.

He said that the PML and coalition partners are poised for the next general elections.

He further said that the PML was a strong party and would not let the PPP to carry out activities against the national interests.

The PML would not let the PPP succeed in weakening the country, he said.

On the occasion, he informed that the president of the PML, Chaudhry Shujaat, Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Syed and other leaders would soon visit the different areas of Sindh and make addresses to masses regarding campaign of the upcoming general elections, he added.—APP
