Car-snatchers’ gang busted

LAHORE, Oct 17: Jhang police have smashed a gang of car snatchers and recovered vehicles besides illegal weapons from them during a special operation.

According to a Punjab police spokesman, Jhang DPO Amjad Javed had constituted a special squad to check the incidence of vehicle snatching in the district. The police team collected data of the gang, conducted a raid in Jhang Sadar area and arrested ringleader Nasar along with two accomplices, Mazhar and Faryad.

During preliminary investigation, they confessed to many vehicle-snatching incidents.

The police have recovered four stolen vehicles and illegal weapons from their possession.
