QUETTA, Oct 17: Former prime minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali on Wednesday said although he had quit from the ruling PML, he would continue efforts for a united Muslim League.

Talking to reporters in his native village Rojhan Jamali, he said he would not join the ruling PML again and contest the elections after consultation with the people of his constituency.

“If people of my constituency ask me to contest the election, I will file nomination papers,” Mir Jamali said, adding that he had resigned from the PML on various grounds. “I will stand by my decision. I will remain a Muslim Leaguer.”

In reply to a question, Mr Jamali said the Pakistan People’s Party and the Muslim League were a reality and no one could deny this reality.
