Tribal system to stay, says Talal

QUETTA, Oct 12: Jamhoori Watan Party chief Nawabzada Talal Bugti has said that the tribal system in Balochistan will exist as long as the people are getting justice from it.

Commenting on an interview of President Gen Pervez Musharraf with a private TV channel, Mr Bugti said that Gen Musharraf’s views reflected his dictatorial thinking. He criticised the president and held him responsible for the killings of Baloch people.

Mr Bugti said no force could change the centuries-old tribal system in Balochistan. He said the Baloch people had been fighting for their rights.

He paid tribute to slain leader of the JWP and his father Nawab Akbar Bugti.

He said Nawab Bugti had sacrificed his life for the rights of Baloch nation.
